Captain of the Black Stars B [Isaac Twum] was adjudged the Best Player of the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations and many couldn’t agree more with the decision of the technical committee of the tournament.

Yes, the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations produced lots of talented players such as the almighty Victorien Adebayor [Niger], nimble left footed Gomez of Benin, Winful Cobbinah, amongst others but Isaac Twum’s brilliance goes beyond just covering every blade on the pitch.

The Inter Allies midfielder proved that he is very astute when it comes to reading his opponents and knows how to communicate effectively with his teammates on the field of play.

His midfield triumvirate partnership with Dream FC’s Emmanuel Lomotey and Gideon Waja was just marvelous to say the least, especially the base where the captain and Lomotey became the spine of the Black Stars B team.

Apart from winning the player of the tournament, Isaac Twum was also part of the Ghanaian quartet that formed part of the Best IX of the competition.

Ghana’s Stephen Sarfo also emerged as the top scorer of the competition with four [4] goals.
