Coach Bashir Hayford has noted that Inter Allies Football Club plays very expansive football, making them a very difficult side to face.

Legon Cities won their matchweek 28 game [1-0] against Inter Allies at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, but the head coach of The Royals [Bashir Hayford] has warned clubs that are yet to face the relegation battling side to be very careful because they can make the game tough at any given time.

“They fight desperately and sometimes they throw off all your plans,” Bashir Hayford said.

“Sometimes you see them playing twice their strength and they’ll be covering all the spaces on the field and so it will make your game difficult.

“If you look at the closing stages of the game we had to sit back and defend, because if you go up there, and they catch you on the break you’ll have yourself to blame.”

Winning against Inter Allies was Legon Cities’ second straight back-to-back win in the ongoing league having beaten AshantiGold SC by 1-0 a weekend before.

The coach, however, noted that his side are completely out of the relegation dogfight and are now aiming at the top 4.

“We are comfortably sitting at the ninth position [38 points] as it stands at the moment and the gap too is widening so even if we should lose the next match and the teams behind us should win, they will not catch up with us.

“So don’t be surprise should Legon Cities finish in the top four because winning four out of our last six games could push us into the top 4.
