Luis ‘The Real King Kong’ Ortiz has warned Deontay ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder ahead of their WBC heavyweight showdown at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on March 03, 2018.
The 38-year-old Ortiz [28 wins, 24 KO’s] claims the American champion does not intimidate him and has vowed to stop the acid talker – Deontay Wilder.
“He is talking too much. He’s going to have to back that up in the ring,” Ortiz said.
“He’s going to knock me out? I want to watch him try. I am not like those other guys he fought.
“He doesn’t intimidate me. His trash talk makes me laugh. It’s just a lot of noise. I’m hungry. He better take me seriously because he is going to find himself on the canvass before he knows it.”
“I’m going to show the world who ‘King Kong’ is,” he added.
Should Wilder beat Ortiz, the stage will be set for the most talked about unification bout between Anthony Joshua and the undefeated American later in the year.
But, Anthony Joshua also needs to beat Joseph Parker first to make it happen.
“The big fight is me and Joshua, of course, and that is who I want,” Deontay Wilder noted.
