Nigerian forward – Victor James Osimhen is itching to get onto the pitch to paying back the 70 million euros plus SSC Napoli has invested in him.
After two weeks of protracted transfer negotiations, the Serie A giant finally announced on Friday that they have completed the signing of the quick-feet Nigerian attacker:
“SSC Napoli are delighted to announce the signing of Victor Osimhen from Lille on a permanent transfer,” the Italian club said.
The 21-year-old striker after signing for the Italian giant jumped onto his Twitter handle to register his readiness to getting the business done on the pitch:
“The next chapter @officialsscnapoli is a very exciting one and I can’t wait to get on the pitch with the team , I want to thank the fans through the last few weeks,and I will definitely give my all on pitch for the common good of the club🙏🏽#ForzaNapoliSempre Blue circleWhite circle,” he tweeted.
Osimhen also showed appreciation to Lille for the opportunity they gave him:

The Nigerian striker [Victor Osimhen] has beaten the African transfer record of £72m which was held by Nicholas Pepe for his last summer transfer to Arsenal. Napoli coughed €81.3m [£73.2m] for the former Nigeria U-17 star plus add ons for the Lagos born forward.
