Paul Dogboe, father and trainer of the current WBO featherweight champion – Isaac ‘The Royal Storm’ Dogboe has predicted that Hidenori Otake cannot go the full distance as the two boxers mount the ring on August 25 at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Speaking about his expectations about the upcoming bout and his general view of the fight, Paul Dogboe noted that the Japanese [31-2-3, 14 KO’s] will come into the ring as a warrior but his son – Isaac Dogboe will definitely knock him out:

“He’s [Otake] structured, he has a little bit of strategy.

“He comes forward like a raging bull. This is how he fight, so this fight cannot last,” Paul Dogboe said confidently.

“It’ll go down in history as one of the best pound-for-pound in the world. This is it, I mean Isaac ‘The Royal Strom’ Dogboe is the best pound-for-pound Lion King of Africa.

“At 37yrs, he[Otake] is not a world champion so he is going to come in and fight like a Kamikaze [explosive] warrior.

“He’s got another shot to the title so what do you think?

“He’s going to come and throw everything he’s got in his bag.”

According to Paul, Otake’s style of fighting is very synonymous to that of Cesar Juarez but, however, believes that he’s going to have more strategy than the Mexican all the same:

“Like Cesar Juarez, he’s going to come forward and fight and Isaac have what it takes to bring people like that down.

“The only way out for him is to come kill, or be killed,” he said.

“Isaac [my son] is super fit and ready for battles like this, 23yrs but if you look through his eyes you can tell that he has been through hell and back. He’s gone down in trenches with other boxers,” Paul Dogboe added.

Early in 2018, the African warrior – Isaac Dogboe stopped Cesar Juarez [round 5] at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, Ghana to win the vacant interim junior featherweight world title.

Isaac Dogboe was decorated with the SWAG [Sports Writers Association of Ghana] Sports Personality of the Year award [2017] on his way back to Ghana after stopping Jessie Magdaleno in the United State of America.
