Egyptian defender – Ahmed Elsayed Ali Elsayed Hegazy has penned an emotional message to the supporters of West Bromwich Albion [Baggies] having left the Premier League side to sign for Saudi Arabian powerhouse, Al-Ittihad.
Hegazi, 29 moves to the Saudi Premier League club on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy.
“To my dear Baggies, I would like to thank you deeply for all the support you have given me over the past 3 years, through all the ups and downs,” he wrote via his twitter handle.
“You have been amazing to me and my family and I have always endeavored to repay this faith by giving absolutely everything on the pitch for this great club, the fans and my team mates.
“I would also like to thank my team mates, coaches, and all the staff at WBA for welcoming me from day one, you have become family and I will miss you all, I wish you the best of luck for the rest of the season and the future.”

The former Al Ahly stalwart [Hegazi] made 38 league appearances in his first two seasons but was a bit-part player last term under Bilic, making just 16 appearances as the club were promoted.
