Hearts of Oak coach Edward Nii Odoom has revealed that the Phobians have release Bernard Arthur after a short stint with the former continental club masters.
Speaking on Adom TV last Saturday, coach Odoom who has been described by Bernard Arthur as someone who have got no balls hinted that Hearts of Oak have released the former Liberty Professionals hot cake [Bernard Arthur] and seven other players.
When asked whether Arthur was still a player of Hearts of Oak the coach quizzed and said he has submitted names of eight players he can no longer work with to management for consideration and Bernard Arthur is one of them:
“I have submitted names of some eight players to be sent on loan to management so you can do your checks to find out if he’s one of them,” coach Edward Odoom said.
Though the coach was not bold enough to categorically state that Bernard Arthur is off, but how he was quick to quiz Obeng Kwaku [the host] when he asked him if the player is still part of his team tells it all.
Arthur, 23, crossed-carpet from city rivals [Liberty Professionals] in August 2019 on his return from Azam FC.
Although Hearts of Oak claimed they signed a long term contract with the player [Arthur] their relationship with the attacker has come to an abrupt halt due to a stern development between the attacker and his coach – Edward Nii Odoom.
Despite not being able to convince coach Odoom to earn much playing time, supporters of Hearts of Oak will forever remember Bernard Arthur for his 85th minute equalizer on matchday 5 of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season against Liberty Professionals on Sunday, January 19 at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman, Accra.
The scientific soccer lads [Liberty Professionals] had taken an early lead through Ernest Danso, but Bernard Arthur came off the bench to pull parity in the 85th minute before Kofi Kodzi scored the winning goal for the Phobians in the final minute of the game.
