Glorious Hearts of Oak were stifled and finally got choked to death at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope by the West Africa Football Academy [WAFA] as the soccer physicians whisked an unbelievable five goals past the phobians on matchday 17 of the 2017 Ghana Premier League [GPL].
The champ in the camp – Majeed Ashimeru opened the floodgate for WAFA in the 28th minute as he fired from 39-yards out to beat Samuel Akurugu in post for Hearts of Oak.
With a goal up, the skillful ‘Pistolero’ – combined with his partners in crime; Gideon Waja [captain], Richmond Lamptey, and Caleb Amankwah to seize the midfield, dancing their way through the game like a fat kid enjoying a piece of cake on a cool Sunday afternoon.
The soccer physicians extended their lead in the 45th minute when left back, Abdul Wahab Ibrahim shot from a close range to take the score line to 2-0 going into the break.
The second half became a mere rehearsal party for the host [WAFA] as they scored three more goals within seventeen minutes to put the game to bed.
Daniel Lomotey scored the third goal for WAFA in the 54th minute having been put through by the midfield automated machine – Majeed Ashimeru who was crowned the Most Valuable Player [MVP].
Ibrahim Abubakar made it 4-0 for the soccer physicians in the 60th minute with a header reminiscent of the one he scored in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium where Hearts of Oak won by 2-1.
