Hearts of Oak have been crowned the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League champions, becoming its first title since 2009.

The former continental club masters became champions with a game to spare having drawn 1-1 with Liberty Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Phobians [Hearts] are at the summit of the table with 61 points, four more points than second placed Asante Kotoko who lost 1-2 to Bechem United at the Nana Gyeabour Park.

The last time Hearts of Oak won the Ghana Premier League was in the year 2009.
