Four goals from Richard Akrofi, Fatau Mohammed, Cosmos Dauda, and Eric Owusu’s own goal aided Hearts of Oak to clinch 4-2 victory over Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

The Phobians [Hearts of Oak] took the lead in the 2nd minute when Thomas Abbey’s effort took a ricochet off the body of Eric Owusu into his own net.

Richard Akrofi extended the lead for Hearts of Oak in the 32nd minute. Fatau Mohammed, however, signed his first goal account for the Phobians in the 39th minute giving the former continental club masters a comfortable lead going into the break.

But, Bechem United returned from the recess with a different approach and deservedly pulled one goal back in the 47th minute through Nana Antwi Manu.

Former captain of Dreams Football Club, Abdul Bashiru grabbed the second goal for the visitors [Bechem United] in the 54th minute to bring the game to life, but Hearts of Oak’s Cosmos Dauda killed the game in the 86th minute with a fine finish.
