Head coach of Phoenix Rising Football Club [PRFC], Rick Schantz has spoken about the impact of Ghanaian attacking midfielder – Solomon Asante to the success of his team.

The former Berekum Chelsea middie was the champion in the camp on Sunday as Phoenix Rising ran riot [3-0] over Oakland Roots, scoring two goals for the USL champions.

Since his arrival in the US, Solomon Asante has been crowned back-to-back MVP’s but his manager – Rick Schantz has revealed that the footprint of the Black Stars winger goes belong the pitch:

“I wish you guys knew how much he does for this team.

“Every player looks up to him, figuratively, and he is the most loved in the locker room.

“He is like a son to me and I am so fortunate to have a player like this and have to thank Didier and Patrice. He does so much more than score goals and I was really happy that he got his two goals today.”

Phoenix Rising next game is against Tampa Bay Rowdies on Sunday, May 16 at the Al Lang Stadium.
