Arsenal coach – Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Thomas Partey’s injury situation.

The Ghanaian midfield metronome wobbled off late in Arsenal’s 0-3 defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday night at Selhurst Park.

But speaking in a post match interview, Arteta could not tell the exact problem that forced Partey out:

“I don’t know, but he felt something in the same area that he got injured previously, so it’s a big concern.”

According to Artete, Arsenal paid the price for their woeful first half performance.

The deputy Black Stars captain [Partey] was overpowered by Conor Gallagher in the midfield battle.
