Newly appointed coach of Legon Cities Football Club, Maxwell Konadu assumed duty today having joined The Royals at training this afternoon.

First day at work for @Konadu4Maxwell, the team tweeted.

“A former Royal is back home,” the tweet added.

The branding ambassadors of Ghana football on Sunday announced the appointment of the former Black Stars coach to help beef up their technical team.

Coach Maxwell Konadu received a rousing welcome from the playing body who seem to have special respect for the former Black Stars striker.

According to Legon Cities, Maxwell Konadu was specifically hired to help the team avoid relegation.

Legon Cities are currently occupying the eleventh position on the league table with 39 points.
