AshantiGold SC leading marksman – Hans Kwofie struck four goals on the final day of the 2017 Ghana Premier League against no least a club than Aduana Stars to win the goal king award.

The former Hearts of Lions goal poacher was lagging behind Stephen Sarfo of Berekum Chelsea [15] goals, and Thomas Abbey [13 goals] of Hearts of Oak prior to the matchday 30 games where he toppled his competitors tooking his tally to seventeen [17] goals.

Hans Kwofie’s four goals propelled AshantiGold Sporting Club to finish tenth on the Ghana Premier League log with 41 points.

The statistics behind the 28yr old goal tally is not just magnificent but quite curious as well.

For instance, he was the first player to score hat-trick in the season under review and that came on the back of Great Olympics on matchday 1 at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi. He also humiliated Berekum Chelsea in a similar fashion.

Hans Kwofie’s seventeen goal tally puts him on the same pedestal with Latif Blessing who was crowned goal king in the 2016/2017 season.
