As the 2017 Ghana Premier League [GPL] culminates on Sunday, October 22 www.sports24ghana.com would like to gaze its spotlight on one of the most talented but very underrated strikers on the local scene – Hans Kwofie.

Hans Kwofie, a proven striker with AshantiGold Sporting Club is in a pole position to chase for the goal king title, having scored thirteen [13] goals this season. Hans Kwofie is on record to score the first hat-trick in the 2017 Ghana Premier League.

Berekum Chelsea’s Stephen Sarfo is the only player who has scored more goals [15] than Hans Kwofie. Thomas Abbey is on the same wave length with the AshantiGold attacker except that Hearts of Oak midfielder has more assists than Hans Kwofie.

Below is the goal king chart:

Stephen Sarfo, Berekum Chelsea – 15 goals [1 assist]

Thomas Abbey, Hearts of Oak – 13 goals [4 assists]

Hans Kwofie, AshantiGold SC – 13 goals [3 assists]

David Abagna, Wa All Stars – 13 goals [5 assists]

Ahmed Toure, Bechem United – 12 goals [2 assists]

The above statistics prove that Hans Kwofie can topple Stephen Sarfo and Thomas Abbey for the individual gong should he score two or more goals on Sunday.

Hans Kwofie [28yrs] was touted as one of the best attackers in Ghana during his days at Kpando Hearts of Lions where he formed deadly partnership with Tanko Mohammed and Emmanuel Osei Banahene.

The former Medeama SC forward is technically gifted and exudes confidence anytime he is on the ball. Hans Kwofie has great aerial ability aside being a good passer of the ball.

With the season tickling to a close one of the multimillion dollar question one would ask is whether Hans Kwofie will stay with the soccer miners for another season or join the exodus train.
