Double Olympic sprint gold medallist, Elaine Thompson-Herah pipped fans favorite Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce to win the women’s 100m at the Gyulai István Memorial in Hungary on Tuesday.

Thompson-Herah clocked 10.71 seconds ahead of Fraser-Pryce [10.82], Marie-Josee Ta-Lou [10.86] and Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare in 10.89 seconds.

Fraser-Pryce emerged victorious in the 100m and 200m events at the recently held Jamaica National Championships in Kingston.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic favorites are Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Elaine Thompson-Herah, Shericka Jackson, and Dina Asher Smith.

The next Diamond League will be held in Monaco, France on Friday, July 9.
