Top seed Grigor Dimitrov was beaten by veteran Tommy Robredo in the second round of the Grand Prix Hassan II in Marrakech.

Dimitrov (pictured) has gone off the boil after his stellar start to the season, capped by a run to the Australian Open semi-finals, and lost a topsy-turvy clash against 34-year-old Robredo 6-4 1-6 6-1.

Fourth seed Mischa Zverev was another casualty, the German losing 6-4 6-4 to Czech Jiri Vesely, but there were wins for Philipp Kohlschreiber, Benoit Paire and Paolo Lorenzi.

Moroccan Amine Ahouda, ranked 946, produced the story of the first round when he upset eighth seed Marcel Granollers but he could not repeat the feat, the 19-year-old losing 6-3 6-4 to Jan-Lennard Struff.
