The scientific soccer lads [Liberty Professionals] overcame a torrid first half to a second half blitzing of Aduana Stars at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman, Accra on Sunday.

Hot wine Yahaya Mohammed scored a brace in the open stanza [10th and 25th minutes] to take his goal tally to ten, but Mubarak Alhassan [17th minute] and Elvis Kyei Baffour [27th minute] pulled parity for Liberty Professionals to the delight of the few fans who were present to welcome their team from exile, having played two games outside their home grounds.

The improvement of Liberty Professionals under coach David Ocloo came to light as the Aduana Stars could not match the guile of the scientific soccer lads in the second stanza of the game succumbing to three unanswered goals.

Mubarak Alhassan shot Liberty into the lead for the time in the game in the 55th minute. Substitute [Abass Nuhu] made it 4-2 for the home side in the 70th minute with his first touch of the afternoon.

Elvis Kyei Baffour signed off the game with a mark, scoring in time added on to hand Liberty Professionals their first home victory in the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

Mubarak Alhassan received the Man of the Match award having scored twice and providing assist.
