The West Africa Football Academy [WAFA] extended their lead atop the 2017 Ghana Premier League [GPL] table following their 2-0 victory over Bechem United at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope on Wednesday.
The soccer physicians [WAFA] took the lead via the spot in the 20th minute through Komlan Agbeniandan. Bechem United center back, Daniel Egyin brought down Richard Danso in the box and the referee rightfully pointed to the spot which the Togolese striker converted brilliantly.
Richard Danso extended the lead for WAFA in the 52nd minute to give them a commanding lead. Daniel Egyin could not last the full throttle of the game having been sent off early in the second half for a second bookable offence.
WAFA have open a three point gap [43 points] on the table as Aduana Stars [40 points] suffered a 1-3 defeat to Wa All Stars at the Malik Jabir Park in Wa.
