Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs were held to an entertaining 2-2 drawn game by Wa All Stars at the Cape Coast Stadium on matchday 24 of the 2017 Ghana Premier League [GPL].

The visitors [Wa All Stars] had to pay for allowing Ebusua Dwarfs free entry into their goal area in the 12th minute as Stephen Bentsil hit the back of the net. Isaac Quaye’s long pass found Kingsley Ntsen whose left footed shot into the box was redirected into goal by Bentsil who was lurking in the danger zone.

Wa All Stars regrouped and nearly pulled parity in the 25th minute, but Dwarfs goalie, Michael Abu came to the rescue of the home side. Jeffrey Degurl also failed to connect home from Hafiz Adam’s long searching ball into the six yard box in the 32nd minute.

Ebusua Dwarfs increased their lead in the 51st minute through Isaac Quaye’s free kick which took a deflection on its road into the net, but his celebration could not last for a minute as the visitors pulled one back through Paul Asare.

Nasiro Moro’s long pass picked Paul Asare on the run, the attacker [Paul Asare] cooled the ball down with his lace, went through three Dwarfs defenders in the box before teasing goalkeeper Michael Abu with an excellent strike from outside his boot.

Mathew Andoh made it 2-2 in the 65th minute, but Wa All Stars’ goalkeeper – Rashid Seidu deserves full plaudit for coming to the rescue of his side. Seidu pulled two quick eye-catching saves in the 81st minute to deny Ebusua Dwarfs the three points at stake.
