The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association [GFA] has postponed its meeting to Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

According to a release the meeting will be done through video conferencing, but did not add the reason[s] why the meeting was rescheduled from its original July 9 date.

Matters to be discussed include date and agenda for Congress, date for player registration and modalities leading to the start of the 2020/21 season.

Last week, the Council took a decision to cancel the 2019/20 football season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 18-team league competition was suspended since March 16 due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic when the league had reached its matchweek 15. Ghana had then confirmed six cases of COVID-19.

According to the GFA, all records associated with the 2019/20 season have been expunged, but fines accrued must be honoured by clubs. There shall also be no demotion and promotion.
