A valiant Leicester side crashed out of Europe at the King Power Stadium as they were beaten 2-1 on aggregate by Atletico Madrid.

The Foxes drew on the night, virtue of a Jamie Vardy equaliser after Saul Niguez had given the Spaniards the lead in the first half.

Leicester threw everything including the kitchen sink at Atletico in the closing stages but couldn’t find the goal to set up a grandstand finish.
