Qarabağ beat Samtredia 5-0 in the first leg of their second qualifying round tie on Tuesday, with Salzburg, Rijeka and Partizan also picking up wins ahead of Friday’s draw.

Tuesday night’s results:

Qarabağ 5-0 Samtredia

Hibernians 0-3 Salzburg

Rijeka 2-0 TNS

Partizan 2-0 Budućnost Podgorica

Qarabağ, who have been in the UEFA Europa League group stage for the past three seasons, were the night’s biggest winners, Afran Ismayilov and Dino Ndlovu both on target from the penalty spot in their resounding victory. Valon Berisha also converted from the spot for Salzburg in their 3-0 win, though his night was marred when he received a late red card.

Partizan had Petar Djuričković’s penalty to thank for getting them off the mark in their all-Balkan tie against Budućnost Podgorica. In the evening’s other first leg, Rijeka were set on their way against TNS courtesy of Josip Mišić’s fifth-minute free-kick.
