Head coach of the Ghana Black Princesses [Yusif Basigi] has released his final 21-woman squad ahead of the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France.

The Black Princesses are drawn in Group A along with the host France, New Zealand, and the Netherlands.

The squad is made up of three [3] goalkeepers, eight [8] defenders, six [6] midfielders, and four [4] strikers.

Below is the full squad:

Goalkeepers: Martha Annan, Esther Agyeman, Kerrie McCarthy

Defenders: Linda Amoako, Belinda Anane, Justice Tweneboah, Cecilia Hagan, Joyce Asamoah, Blessing Agbomazi, Kate Agyeman, Philicity Asuako

Midfielders: Grace Acheampong, Evelyn Badu, Kunduck Peterson, Olivia Anokye, Grace Asantewaa, Ernestina Abambila

Forwards: Sandra Owusu Ansah, Ruth Anima, Helena Obeng, Rafia Kulchire.

The Black Princesses were supposed to go on a training tour in Spain but had to be canceled at the eleventh hour due to poor traveling arrangements. The team will nonetheless depart from Ghana on Monday, July 30.

Meanwhile, the Black Princesses will begin their campaign against Les Bleuettes [France] in Brittany on 5 August.

Group A: France, Ghana, New Zealand, Netherlands

Group B: Korea DPR, England, Mexico, Brazil

Group C: USA, Japan, Paraguay, Spain

Group D: Haiti, China PR, Nigeria, Spain

The France 2018 Women’s World Cup which start on August 5-24 is made up of sixteen [16] teams from six [6] confederations.
