The twinkle twinkle little Black Starlets of Ghana left Accra yesterday to the United Arab Emirates [Abu Dhabi] to intensify their training program ahead of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
The Black Starlets whilst camping in the UAE will play a number of warm-up games with yet to be named opponents as coach Paa Kwesi Fabian is preparing to fine-tuning his squad before the tournament takes off on October 06 in New Delhi, India .
Six cities – Goa, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Navi Mumbai, and New Delhi will host the 24-nation tournament.
Below are the 24 qualified teams:
Africa: Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Niger
Asia: India (as hosts), Iran, Iraq, Japan, Korea DPR
Europe: England, France, Germany, Spain, Turkey
North, Central America & Caribbean: Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, USA
Oceania: New Caledonia, New Zealand
South America: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay.
Ghana are drawn in Group A alongside host [India], Colombia and the United States of America.
