The depreciation of the Black Stars on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking seems not to be halted anytime soon, despite the promising performance of Ghana in recent weeks.
The Black Stars for the first time in twelve years [2006-2018] will not be present at the FIFA World Cup having failed to qualify from Group E where Egypt picked the sole ticket in the African qualifiers.
Ghana has moved down the wire according to the latest rankings released on Monday, October 16, 2017 where Germany maintained the topmost position [No. 1], followed by Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland, France, Spain, Chile, and Peru making the first ten.
Meanwhile, the ranking table favours Egypt as the most successful African nation [1st in Africa and 30th in the world], followed by Senegal [2nd and 32nd], and Congo DR [3rd, 35th].
Egypt [1st in Africa, 30th in the world]
Senegal [2nd in Africa, 32nd in the world]
Congo DR [3rd in Africa, 35th in the world]
Nigeria [4th in Africa, 41st in the world]
Cameroon [5th in Africa, 42nd in the world]
Morocco [6th in Africa, 48th in the world]
Ghana [7th in Africa, 52nd in the world]
Burkina Faso [8th in Africa, 55th in the world]
Cote d’Ivoire [9th in Africa, 61st in the world]
