Nicola Adams believes Conor McGregor has no chance against Floyd Mayweather next month – even claiming she would beat the UFC superstar in the boxing ring.
Mayweather is the huge favourite for the showdown on August 26 as he puts his unbeaten record on the line.
Despite the doubters, McGregor is in confident mood and has vowed to prove them wrong when the pair finally enter the ring.
But double Olympic gold medallist Adams isn’t convinced – and thinks she would have the beating of the Irishman.
“I can see the interest, for me, Floyd Mayweather’s going to win hands down,” she told Sky Sports.
Asked if she would see off McGregor, Adams added: “Yeah definitely in the boxing ring, I don’t know about in the octagon.”
The circus surrounding the pair has attracted criticism but Adams feels it will only add to the spectacle.
“It’s just a show really for everybody, a bit of a performance, a bit of entertainment,” she added.
“It’s not something you get to see everyday, a UFC fighter boxing a top class boxer, I definitely see Mayweather winning by knockout.”
