After surrendering the Premier League title to Liverpool, Manchester City still have the opportunity to win treble this year as they did a year ago.

Pep Guardiola’s side dispatched off Newcastle 2-0 on Sunday to book a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup where they have been drawn against Arsenal. Despite enduring a torrid season, Man City who have already defended their Carabao Cup are still in contention for two silverware – the Champions League and the FA Cup.

Chelsea will also face Manchester United in the other semi-final clash. Both games will be played at Wembley on 18/19 of July.

22 of the 27 FA Cups since the Premier League started have been won by one of the four remaining semi-finalists, including 10 of the last 11.

Only two in the last 27 FA Cup finals have had none of these four clubs [Man City, Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea] involved.

Arsenal and Manchester United have both reached the FA Cup semi-finals for a joint-record 30th time as they continue their strong tradition with the famous old competition.

The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last six games against Chelsea including three victories this season – winning both league games and also their Carabao Cup tie. Chelsea’s last victory over United came in the 2018 FA Cup final.

The Gunners have lost their last seven games against City in all competitions, but their last victory came at this very stage of the competition in their FA Cup semi-final of 2017.

The FA Cup final will take place at Wembley on Saturday, August 1.
