Eric Ayiah has made a passionate call on Ghanaians to build bridges between God and the Black Starlets as they come face-to-face with Niger in the round of 16 stage of the FIFA U-17 World Cup this morning.

“I plead to all Ghanaians to remember us [Black Starlets] in prayers so that we come out victorious. We also pledge to do our best to win the game,” Ayiah said in an interview.

The Black Starlets stand us favourite going into this match having beaten the Menas [Niger] on three occasions – two friendly games as well as in the semi finals of the 2017 African Youth Championship in Gabon.

Ghana topped the Group A table with 6 points whiles Niger qualified as one of the best third placed teams in the competition, having come third in Group E behind Brazil and Spain with just 3 points.

The winner of the Ghana-Niger game will face the champaign-looking Mali in the quarterfinal phase of the competition.
