Ghana Premier League new boys – Elmina Sharks are out of the relegation having pipped Asante Kotoko 1-0 at the Nduom Sports Complex in Elmina on matchday 26.
The only goal of the match came in the second half through Joseph Mensah to move his side from the life supporting machine [relegation zone] as Elmina Sharks leapfrog to the eighth position on the league ladder with 36 points.
The wonder club – Great Olympics also managed to draw blanks [0-0] with the West African Football Academy [WAFA] at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope whiles Liberty Professionals had to bet on Bernard Arthur’s second half goal to beat Bechem United 2-1 at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman, Accra.
The scientific soccer lads [Liberty Professionals] took the lead through Ernest Papa Arko but his goal was canceled out by Maxwell Frimpong’s strike before Bernard Arthur pulled the match winner for the home side.
