Two goals in each half from Benjamin Tweneboah and Felix Addo was enough for Elmina Sharks to steal an away victory from Tema Youth on Wednesday, October 04, 2017.

The odds favored the Habour City Boys [Tema Youth] going into the game having the home crowd at their back, but it was the away side [Elmina Sharks] that shot themselves into the lead in the first quarter of the game through the skillful Benjamin Tweneboah.

Benjamin Tweneboah capitalized on a defensive blunder from the heart of Tema Youth defence to plant the ball beyond the reach of goalkeeper Eric Adjetey as the home crowd stared at the goal scorer in stunned disbelief.

With their back on the wall, Tema Youth pressed the visitors high up the field except that they blew away the few goal scoring opportunities that came their way as the first half ended 0-1.

The composition of the game in the second half did not change as the home side [Tema Youth] continued to press until they left their back exposed, allowing Felix Addo to punish them as he slalomed his way through the defensive barrier before hitting the back of the net.

Elmina Sharks having ended the game on a winning note climbed to the seventh position on the league ladder with 39 points whiles Tema Youth lies a shade above the relegation zone [eleventh] with 34 points.
