Supporters of West African Football Academy [WAFA] have thrown a scathing jibe at the fans of Asante Kotoko as the Porcupine Warriors storms the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope on Wednesday, February 05 to take on the soccer physicians.
“Don’t come here with that assertiveness, considering the fact that Accra Hearts of Oak took a point here their recent visit,” a statement issued by the supporter’s group of WAFA on Monday read.
Asante Kotoko are currently facing a ban due to some disturbing acts from their vociferous supporters in the aftermath of their matchday 3 game against Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
According to the statement, Asante Kotoko do not support the GFA’s agenda to nib hooliganism in the bud hence the need for the caution ahead of their visit to the land of peace – Sogakope:
“Despite the FA’s attempt to stop hooliganism in the league, it is an undoubted fact that fans of Asante Kotoko do not support the FA’s effort.
“Taking in account their recent actions in the ongoing premier league, we deemed it necessary to caution them ahead of their visit to the land of peace (Red Bull Arena, Sogakope) on February 5, 2020.
The statement further urged all football-loving fans who would loved to enjoy good football to come to Sogakope tomorrow to enjoy the game whiles predicting a win for the soccer physicians.
“We urge all football-loving fans most especially, fans of Asante Kotoko to come in peace and enjoy the game of soccer and victory of the lads”.
