Deontay Leshun ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder has described how he felt when he first claimed the WBC heavyweight title over Bermane Stiverne.
“Three years ago today I silenced the critics and became the WBC Heavyweight Champion of the world.
“They didn’t think I could go 12.
“They didn’t think I could take a punch, I took punches,” the Bronze Bomber wrote on his social media page.
“I will become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Like it or not,” he said.
The Bronze Bomber will defend his title on March 03 against the unbeaten Cuban champion, Victor Ortiz at the Barclays Center.
Wilder’s record stands at 39-0, with 38 knockouts.
