Mohamed Osama, head of Zamalek’s medical committee has announced that Mohamed Hussein Awad Moussa has tested negative for COVID-19.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper reported last week that he had tested positive for coronavirus after undergoing the COVID-19 swab test. His second test results which came out on Friday proved negative.

According to zamalek’s head of medical committee [Mohamed Osama] the player is being monitored and that a third test will be administered on him by Monday.

The Ismailia born goalie started his career with the Ismaily S.C youth team. He, however, played his first game in the Egyptian Premier League on 25 December 2013 against El Qanah FC. The game ended with a 2-1 win over Ismaily SC.

The Egyptian Premier League is set to resume on 7 August after nearly five months of suspension due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
