Birmingham 2022 are looking for BMX and mountain bike volunteers to be a part of the anticipated opening ceremony at the Alexander Stadium.

BMX and mountain bike riders from across the West Midlands are needed to be a part of the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony. The opening ceremony will take place on July 28 at the newly transformed Alexander Stadium and the application deadline is this Saturday. (April 2)

The BMX and mountain bike riders will join thousands of other local volunteers who have been going through auditions for the ceremony, following the open call for local dancers and established choirs earlier in the year. The inclusion of BMX and mountain bike riders is appropriate given that mountain bike riding will be a sport at this year’s Commonwealth Games.

The 2022 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Birmingham 2022 will take place in the West Midlands from July 28 to August 08.
