Head coach of the Black Starlets [Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin] is delighted at his side’s 4-0 thumping of India in their last group game of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The coach has not been too happy throughout the campaign, but the looks he wore on his face after yesterday’s game was very delightful and his explanation couldn’t be any better:

“I am a happy man. Earlier, I told them to do the simple things which they were not doing, but today they followed my instructions and they have seen the results for themselves,” the coach noted.

“I told them to calm down and play their normal game and the goals will follow,” he adds.

Paa Kwesi Fabin also expressed shock at the abysmal performance of India, aside that he had so much respect for going into the game.

“They [India] didn’t pose any threat to our team today and I don’t know why they did not come to the party like their previous matches.”

Meanwhile, his opposite number – Norton De Matos Luis [India coach] was full of praise for the Black Starlets.

“Congratulations to Ghanaians, the players played much more than we expected from them.”

He further reiterated that basic mistakes in the second half affected their course.

“In the second half, we made three mistakes and got punished. Ghana is a very formidable side,” he reckoned.
