The Ghana Black Meteors have been drawn to face neighbours [Togo] in the first round of the qualifiers to the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations on November 12, 2018.

The Black Meteors, the 1992 Olympic Games bronze winning team are without a substantive coach at the moment as Malic Jabil has ruled himself out of the job claiming the authorities has failed to pay him since last three years .

Ghana has failed to participate in the new Olympic Games qualifying tournament since its inception in 2011.

The return match of the Ghana-Togo clash will come off on November 20. The second phase of the qualifiers will be played in March 2019.

The 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations is scheduled for November 8-22 whiles the top three countries automatically qualify to represent the continent at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games football tournament.
