Tough talking coach of mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs – Ernest Thompson Quartey has described the Berekum Golden City Park as a War Zone that is not fit to host football games.

Sharing his acidic experience on Asempa [94.7] FM this morning the coach who was subjected to severe beatings yesterday explained that the environment at the Golden City Park is rather synonymous to that of a war zone.

“It’s a war zone. It cannot be used for football purposes.

“The environment was charged as if there was war.

“I nearly lost my life for doing no wrong after being subjected to such barbaric act.”

The tough talking coach further made a passionate call on the GFA to place a ban on the Golden City Park.

“That venue should be banned from hosting football matches, else life may be lost in future.”

Interestingly, the head huncho of the Ghana Football Association [Kurt Okraku] was in the Brong Ahafo region just last week as part of his peace tour where he met with owners of football clubs to discuss on ways to eradicate hooliganism from the game.

According to coach Thompson Quartey, he was accused by some supporters of Berekum Chelsea for allegedly having juju [Black Power] in his possession.

The juju according to the supporters was propelling Ebusua Dwarfs to victory having taken a first half lead.

As a result, the supporters approached the coach and asked him to surrender himself for them to search him peacefully.

Upon his decision to resist the search his zip was forcibly opened and was subjected to an unforgettable beatings to the extent that he had to leave the venue in a wheelchair.

The game ended 2-1 in favour of Berekum Chelsea having come from a goal down to score two goals in the second stanza.
