Ghana’s current top seed in Table Tennis, Celia Baah Danso has promised to give her best ahead of the African Top 16 Championship in Nairobi, Kenya
“I pray that God gives me the strength to play my best” she told her Media Inspirer in the interview.
Baah Danso who is one of the two female stars selected for Ghana’s team for Australia 2018 Commonwealth Games hinted that her work as a soldier has made her fearless, courageous and very confident.
She said formerly she was a bit media shy and was not bold, but thanked God for her profession and hobby which is service to her nation.
According to Celia Baah Danso, the ultimate is to reach the Olympic stage and shine. She noted that Ghana would definitely do well at the Commonwealth Games due to the preparations they have gone through, and the African Champion ship would sharpen she rough edges for a good Commonwealth tournament in Australia.
She thanked those who have been praying for her and the Ghana Table Tennis Federation as well as the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
The African Table tennis Championships is a tournament organized by the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF) to crown the best Table tennis players in Africa. For the Team event there is the African Table tennis Team Championships. This is not to be confused with the African Games, the multi sports event, held every four years where Table Tennis is included since 1973.
