The senior national soccer team of Ghana [Black Stars] returned home yesterday after their friendly international game against Morocco on Tuesday.
Despite putting up an okay performance at the FAR Sportive stadium, the Black Stars lost 0-1 to the Atlas Lions.
The team moved straight to camp on Wednesday in Cape Coast to prepare ahead of their second friendly game against the Elephants of Ivory Coast on Saturday, June 12.
Speaking ahead of the game, coach Charles Akonnor said he’s envisaging a difficult encounter because the Elephants are a very good side.
“Of course it will also be difficult – they are a good side and we will go in with respect but we have to know what to do at the right time and we want to try to improve in this area and create chances to score goals.”
Joining the team to train ahead of the Ivory Coast game were Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey and Tariq Fosu who did not play a part in the last game.
