The Birmingham Organising Committee for the 2022 Commonwealth Games [BOCCG] has named Ben Wooldridge as the communications and marketing manager for culture.

Wooldridge, an interim PR manager at the Birmingham Hippodrome could not hide his joy upon receiving the news regarding his latest portfolio:

Birmingham was awarded the hosting right for the international multi-sport event purposely for members of the Commonwealth on December 21, 2007 after Durban, the original host had announced on March 13, 2017 that South Africa could no longer host the event due to financial constraints.

The XXII Commonwealth Games, the third to be hosted in England after the London 1934 and Manchester 2002 is expected to take place from July 28 to August 8, 2022.
