From the screenshot of the nominees for the NASCO Player of the Month Award [July], can predict that Accra Hearts of Oak’s Arnold Thomas Anotey Abbey is likely to snap it from Felix Addo and Stephen Amankona.

The attacking midfield engineer [Thomas Abbey] is a strong contender for the overall golden boot award of the 2017 Ghana Premier League having scored twice against Tema Youth SC to take his tally on the goal scoring chart to 12 goals and on the same wave length with Bechem United’s Ahmed Toure [12] goals.

One fascinating mark about Abbey throughout the season is the fact that anytime one would think that the midfield machine might not propel, you see him coming back with vigor like Arnold Schwarzenegger in ‘Terminator II.’

The battle for who wins the NASCO Player of the Month Award for July is a very tough one to predict because the three nominees: Thomas Abbey [Hearts of Oak], Felix Addo [Elmina Sharks] and Stephen Amankona [Berekum Chelsea] were very delightful to watch in the month under review.

But Thomas Abbey’s last minute sexy goal in Hearts of Oak’s last victory over Tema Youth at the Accra Sports Stadium gives him the nod over his peers.

The Premier League Board [PLB] will announce the winner on Friday, August 04, 2017.
