Ghana’s aspiring world champion, Isaac Dogboe boosted his boxing career with an amazing performance resulting in a fifth round technical knockout [TKO] victory Mexico’s dreaded Ceasar Juarez on Saturday night to claim the WBO Interim Super Bantamweight title at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The international contest drew a large crowd to the pugilist’s edifice, which was filled to the brim, and the fans were not disappointed by ‘The Royal Storm’ – Isaac Dogbe who was backed by the humongous crowd comprising various groups.

From the sound of the bell to round five, Dogboe was very busy dishing punches to the feared Mexican and eventually flooring in the second round.

The Mexican who entered the ring in his Mexican hat did his best in round three coming back strongly, but Dogbo had the strategy to win and never looked back. Referee Tony Weeks stopped the fight in the fifth round after a left punch from the Royal Storm dazed Juarez.

Meanwhile, Manuel Lopez [coach of Juarez] could not understand what informed the referee’s decision to stop the fight.

Isaac Dogboe has improved his record to 18-0, winning 12 by way of knockouts, while Juarez has dropped six in 26 fights, winning 20 on the road.
