Bastie ‘The Beast’ Samir knocked out Briamah ‘Bukom Banku’ Kamoko in the seventh of their scheduled 12 round cruiserweight non-title fight at the Trust Boxing Emporium in Accra on Saturday, October 21, 2017.
Bastie, a former Olympian nearly fulfilled his third round knockout promise as he punched Briamah Kamoko to the canvas, but the much experienced boxer was gladly saved by the bell.
It was Bukom Banku, the former WBO Africa cruiserweight champion who led the pace of the fight in the early minutes, winning the first two rounds with his piecing jabs.
Rounds four and five belonged to Bukom Banku. The sixth round was a draw, but Bastie Samir took Bukom Banku by a storm in the seventh round as he danced him through the ring with some hefty blows, as blood oozed out of the former undefeated champion who could hardly find his feet at that point.
Bastie Samir has improved his record to 16 fights with 15 wins, 1 draw whiles Bukom Banku dropped to 30 fights, 29 wins and 1 lose.
