Asante Kotoko head coach – Mariano Barreto has arrived in Ghana and is ready to lead the Porcupine Warriors’ hellish journey to Dormaa on Saturday.
Barreto traveled to Portugal on Monday to renew his UEFA Pro coaching license as well as attending a pressing family issues, leaving his assistance coach – Pedro Manual to take charge of the team in his absence.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese manager returned to Ghana yesterday and has joined his team as they prepare ahead of their matchweek 27 fixture against Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
Asante Kotoko are bent on breaking the jinx that exist between them and the ‘Ogya Boys’ at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park where the Porcupine Warriors are yet to pick a single win over Aduana Stars.
Asante Kotoko are second on the league table with 46 points, same as first placed Hearts of Oak and a win for them tomorrow will push them above the Phobians who’ll play against Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
