Winneba based Lameck Bagerbaseh came from behind to beat Amos Asante of Ashiaman to win the 2017 the McDan Junior Tennis Open championship [U-12] at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, August 26.

Bagerbaseh lost the first set by 3-6 but managed to come back strongly to win the other two set [6-1] and [7-5] respectively.

The competition served as preparatory grounds for both players who are preparing for the upcoming Africa Juniors Open slated for Morocco from September 9.

Tracy Ampah of Tarkwa defeated Sekina Adama of Tema 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 to win the girls U-12.

Meanwhile, Bright Nortey toppled Ishmael Dowuona 7-6(6), 6-3 to win the men U-14 finals.

Earlier on Friday, Mariama Ibrahim also beat Naa Mckorley in the girls Under 16 finals.
