Jarrell Miller has reportedly been approved for a boxing licence by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
This means that the unbeaten heavyweight, who infamously failed multiple drugs tests before his cancelled fight against Anthony Joshua last year, can now return to the ring.
According to BoxingScene, Miller will face Jerry Forrest (26-3, 20 KOs) on July 9.
This will headline one of Bob Arum’s behind closed doors Top Rank shows in Las Vegas.
The American signed with Arum ahead of his potential return back in January, with everything now finalised for it to take place.
As the AJ fight was scrapped, Miller has not fought since November 2018.
Upon signing with Arum earlier this year, he said: “Minor setback for a major comeback.
“I’m coming for everything and everyone. No one is safe. Say hello to the bad guy.
“Everyone wants to portray the superhero. We don’t live in a sunshine world.
“I’ll never be the superhero. In my world, the majority of the time, the villain wins.”
