Coach Ernest Thompson Quartey has said that Asante Kotoko did not play anything extraordinary in their matchweek 24 game against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi on Thursday.

Emmanuel Gyamfi’s brace was all, but what the Porcupine Warriors needed to come from a goal down to secure a comeback victory over Ebusua Dwarfs.

Dennis Korsah broke the deadlock for the visitors in the 24th minute from a well taken free-kick from just outside the goal area, but Emmanuel Gyamfi scored a goal in each half [30th and 50th] to propel his side to the top.

But, tough-talking Thompson Quartey believe his team deserved at least a point judging from how they played especially in the first stanza of the game.

According to Thompson Quartey, Razak Issah’s error that led to Emmanuel Gyamfi’s second goal is disheartening because he cannot be making such petty errors at this professional level.

Asante Kotoko have maintained their position [1st] on the league table with 44 points whiles Ebusua Dwarfs slip down to the 13th position with 26 points.
