General captain of the Black Stars – Asamoah Gyan is putting himself to shape ahead of Legon Cities FC matchday 21 against Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The most expensive player on the local scene [Gyan] has not featured for the branding masters of Ghana football since the second round got underway, but is gathering that the wait could be over for the highest African goal scorer at the FIFA World Cup this weekend.

A trip to the training grounds of the Ghana Premier League side saw Gyan who is yet to score for Legon Cities being taken through special drills.

Journalists have questioned Bashiru Hayford several times as to why the former Black Stars has been absent in his squad, but the coach has maintained that Asamoah Gyan will play only when he is fit.

Legon Cities are currently occupying the 14th position on the league table with 22 points and are in dire need of the three maximum points at stake on Sunday to help them move a little more above the relegation zone.

A win for Dreams FC [6th position] could bolster their chance of playing in the top 4.
