Chief Executive Officer of Matchroom Boxing – Eddie Hearn has said that Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua is prepared to go to war with Tyson Luke Fury as the two Brits prepares to face-off in a unified world heavyweight title clash in August.

“AJ will be going to war with Tyson Fury, and he has plans to go in there to actually demolish him [Fury] and that’s what he plans to do and that’s what I believe he is going to do,” said Hearn.

The Matchroom CEO believes that despite Tyson Fury’s high class in pre match hypes, AJ is more than poised to face him in the ‘trash talk environment.’

“Tyson Fury is good at what he does in and out of the ring. I think maybe if this bout had come on six months ago, it might be slightly different than now, but AJ has got a bit within his teeth.

“We all doing what we can to make this fight. It could be beneficial to both not just financially, but from a legacy point of view as well.

“But when the announcement comes and when the press come, I think those pleasantries will go away and it becomes a little personal, because it doesn’t matter who respect who.

“Both sides are absolutely desperate to win. This is everything.

“This is the undisputed heavyweight championship bout so there’s no funny games.

“In the meantime, we going go through the buildup.

“It should be a lot of fun and get prepared for the biggest sport event of 2021.”

AJ is a two-time world heavyweight having held the WBA, IBF, WBO, and the IBO titles. The Gypsy King [Fury] is also a two-weight champions having held the WBC and the Ring Magazine titles.

According to Frank Warren [Tyson Fury’s co-promoter] the most anticipated undisputed world heavyweight title between the two Brits is set to take place in Saudi Arabia on August 14, 2021.
